Random Acts of Kindness Car Wash
Put your faith in action! Bring your family, gather your small group bible study crew, invite your neighbors, and share your witness for Christ. Come serve the Lord at Christ Memorial’s 10th Annual Random Acts of Kindness FREE (no donations accepted!) car wash on Saturday August 9th between 9am and 2pm. Work a short shift or stay the entire day. Wash or dry cars, direct traffic, greet visitors, enjoy fellowship – there’s plenty to do, and we want YOU! Youth Ministry Kickoff
The Youth Leadership Team would like to announce the Christ Memorial Youth Ministry Kickoff. Mark your calendars for August 10th 2008 from 4 - 7 PM. We would like each youth (grades 5-12) and their family to attend this event. Food and fellowship are on the agenda. At this meeting, we will unfold the plan for the upcoming year and how you can participate in planning the future of our youth ministry.
The Music Man - Auditions
Auditions for The Music Man will be held on August 16 and 17 at Christ Memorial. Come anytime between 1-5 pm. Auditions are for ages 8 and up. Kids in the Book!
Calling all students in 1st through 6th grades…invite your friends to join you on September 13th from 9:00 to 4:00 for the Kids’ in the Book Seminar here at Christ Memorial. During this unique day you will learn about the Old Testament as you never have before. Don’t miss this fun-filled, action-based learning experience! 
OASIS
OASIS: Oasis is for 7th-12th grade students on Wednesday nights from 6:00-8:30PM in the youth room the first and third Wed. of the month. Next OASIS is August 6th. Come for games, hang out time, friends, and prayer (incoming 7th graders may now attend).
Abundant Blessings
Abundant Blessings will be the focus of the early fall small group Bible study. Our pastors are composing the lessons to coincide with our 60th anniversary theme. Host homes are needed, so please contact Kristi Roegner at 314-631-0304 if you are willing to host a small group in your home.
Green Park - Teacher's Fund
Green Park has created a special fund to which parents and other friends of Green Park can contribute to restore teachers' salaries to 2007-2008 levels. Donations to the fund will be accepted from now until August 31. Checks should be made payable to Green Park Lutheran School and the memo line on the check clearly marked "Teachers Fund". The Teachers' Fund is for the benefit of all current teachers who teach in the 2008-2009 school year. Please take advantage of this opportunity to support your teachers in this special way. Matching funds will be made available thru Thrivent Financial. More information can be found on the table in the Commons.
Help provide Scholarships - Golf
HELP US HELP OTHERS-Join us at our 3rd Annual Green Park Cares Golf Tournament on September 7th at Wolf Hollow Golf Course. Morning and afternoon Tee Times available. Eight Scholarships have been awarded this year to children and families with medical illness. Our mission is to assure the same quality of life in a time of need.
