Christ Is Risen! He Is Risen Indeed!
Text: “If Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith” (1 Corinthians 15:14).
Does it really make any difference? Why make such a big deal over Easter? Wouldn’t everything be the same even if Jesus had not risen from the grave? Not at all. Jesus’ resurrection makes a huge difference. His resurrection changes everything. Consider the following:
Because Jesus rose: He lives to forgive your sins. He lives to strengthen you in times of weakness He lives to give you courage in times of doubt. He lives to comfort you in times of despair. He lives to give you peace in times of turmoil. He lives to give you love in times of loneliness. He lives to give you joy in times of sorrow. He lives to protect you from evil. He lives to bring you back into His fold when you stray. He lives to guide you in making moral decisions. He lives to answer your prayers. He lives to welcome you to your eternal home in heaven.
What a tremendous difference Easter makes! Let every church bell ring out the Good News! Let every Lily blossom trumpet the salvation of our God! Christ is risen! He who died for you now lives for you!
Prayer: Jesus, thank you for dying for me. Through Your death You redeemed me from the consequences of my sin. You paid the debt on my behalf. Thank You also for your glorious resurrection. Help me to live everyday in the new life that only You can give. Amen.
